HYPE Global Virtual Accelerator Taiwan, initiated by the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education, along with the 9th cohort from Canada, Bolt Sports ( a startup team specializing in field hockey training devices), visited the Chinese Taipei Hockey Federation and the Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey Federation on June 2nd. The purpose of the visit was to foster friendship, provide athletes with usage data and product feedback. Eric Eustace, the founder of Bolt Sports, specially joined the visit to Taiwan.

The first stop was a visit to Chushan Senior High School in Nantou County, where they met Secretary-General Chih-Peng Wu of the Chinese Taipei Hockey Federation, who is also the head coach of the school’s field hockey team. The visit included exchanges and experiences with players who have won the National Zhongzheng Cup Field Hockey Championship. In the evening, they visited the Taipei Arena Ice Land to meet Secretary-General Yi-Chung Huang of the Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey Federation. They also had product experiences and tests with children’s ice hockey teams and the women’s national ice hockey team. Eric Eustace expressed that they greatly benefited from gathering feedback and data from both children and professional athletes, and they gained a clearer understanding of the potential of the Asian market, the direction of product evolution, and the aspects that users care about and are concerned with.
