Supported by the Ministry of Sports and executed by the Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy (IAPS) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, the ASPN (APEC Sports Policy Network) Sports Tech Accelerator Hub emerged as a centerpiece of the 2026 TaiSPO (Taiwan International Sports and Fitness Show). Over the four-day exhibition at Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2, ASPN led nine premier startup teams to successfully showcase their innovations through international forums, business matchmaking, and interactive demonstrations, effectively building the most robust sports tech ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region.

9 Trailblazing Startups Showcase Taiwan’s Tech Prowess
The ASPN Sports Tech Hub featured nine high-potential startups covering cutting-edge fields such as AI motion analysis, smart wearables, and health diagnostics:
- IMOTEK: Intelligent data analysis and applications for cycling biomechanics.
- Healthy Plate: Smart nutrition and integrated health management solutions.
- AQUIVIO: Innovative smart hydration and personalized sports beverage systems.
- FastPong: Tech-driven training systems to enhance reaction speeds in table tennis.
- RedEye: Non-invasive optical detection technology and light-based massage devices.
- All-wings: Revolutionary innovations in high-performance bicycle saddle design.
- PointFit: Precision sweat-based biometric monitoring and safety recommendations.
- Fortune AI: AI-powered solutions to enhance safety in aquatic sports environments.
- Spot: High-quality video and social community platforms for athletes.

A Hub for International Exchange: GSIC, OCAC, and Okinawa Industry Center
During the exhibition, ASPN served as a critical nexus for international public and private sector exchange. Aligning with the ASPN Annual Roundtable, more than 15 economy representatives from Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea visited the hub to interact with the startups.
Furthermore, representatives from the Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC) powered by Microsoft engaged with teams to explore future global collaborations. The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) also led delegations of overseas compatriots to the booths, resulting in numerous successful matchmaking sessions. Additionally, a delegation from the Okinawa Industry Promotion Public Corporation conducted in-depth discussions regarding Taiwan-Japan industrial cooperation.

ASPN curated two high-profile forums during the event:
- ASPN Global Forum: Hosted by Olympic gold medalist Chen Yi-an, the forum focused on sports diplomacy and tech equity. Distinguished guests including Legislator Huang Jie and Ambassador-at-large Liu Po-chun discussed the evolving landscape of the global sports world.

To allow visitors to experience the charm of sports technology firsthand, ASPN organized a series of Interactive Gameplay sessions. Startups such as IMOTEK, AQUIVIO, and All-wings combined product pitches with engaging experiences on the main stage, successfully capturing the attention of international buyers and the general public alike.
