ASPN Partners with Women’s Health to Host Sports Forum: AI Technology Meets Women’s Health to Redefine the Future of Sports

The ASPN Sports Technology Accelerator (APEC Sports Technology Accelerator), in collaboration with the globally renowned women’s media platform Women’s Health, successfully hosted the “Women in Sports Tech Forum” on March 25 at the TaiSPO main stage.

Centered around the theme “A New Vision for Sports: A Female Perspective on Technological Innovation,” the forum explored how AI applications are reshaping the nutrition, fitness, and holistic wellness industries. The event highlighted the pivotal role of female founders in driving impact amid the wave of digital transformation.

Cross-Sector Collaboration Driving the Globalization of Sports Technology

The forum opened with remarks from Dr. Micahel Lin, CEO of IAPS, NYCU. Dr. Lin emphasized ASPN’s mission to empower sports tech startups across the Asia-Pacific region, noting that the platform has connected over 130 startups across 25 countries and facilitated more than USD 33 million in investments. He further highlighted that women bring unique insights and sensitivity to the sports tech sector, serving as a key force in translating innovation into everyday life.

From a media perspective, Annie Chen, Content Director of Women’s Health Taiwan, shared that modern women’s approach to health has evolved beyond physical appearance to a holistic balance of inner and outer well-being. With the support of technology, women are now able to manage their health more intelligently and empower themselves more effectively.

Three Female-Led Startups Redefining “Lifestyle-Driven” Technology

The forum featured demo presentations from three outstanding female founders from the ASPN ecosystem, showcasing how technology seamlessly integrates into daily life:

  • Healthy Plate: Founder and CEO Emma Chan presented the world’s first AI-powered image recognition and AR-based portion measurement technology. Users can obtain precise nutritional data within 10 seconds simply by taking a photo. The solution is currently supported by Microsoft’s ISV Success Program, demonstrating strong global potential.
  • NAKED Protein: Co-founder and nutritionist Zoe Huang introduced the brand’s philosophy of “transparency and simplicity,” developing high-quality protein products tailored to women’s taste preferences and functional needs, transforming scientific nutrition into an enjoyable daily experience.
  • ness wellness: Co-founder Angela Feng showcased a comprehensive wellness platform that integrates physical, mental, and emotional health experiences with a resource marketplace, creating an immersive and holistic lifestyle journey for users.

Panel Discussion: When AI Meets Female Intuition

The forum concluded with a panel discussion titled “Reconstructing Sports and Health Industries through AI Applications,” moderated by Dr. Lin alongside four distinguished speakers.

Panelists agreed that the ultimate goal of technological innovation is not data itself, but emotionally resonant solutions. Through AI-driven smart nutrition and efficient supplementation, technology is no longer cold or distant—it becomes a practical tool that helps modern women achieve precise balance in their busy lives.

Looking ahead, the ASPN Sports Technology Accelerator will continue to drive innovation across the Asia-Pacific region and is now officially open for applications for Batch 3. Innovative sports tech startups are warmly invited to apply, with a special encouragement for female entrepreneurs and women-led teams to join and contribute diverse, impactful perspectives to the sports and wellness industry.

The program offers cross-border market access, mentorship from industry experts, investor matchmaking opportunities, and international exposure, supporting startups in expanding across the Asia-Pacific market. ASPN is committed to fostering a more inclusive and sustainable sports tech ecosystem by empowering female founders and enabling user-centric innovations to scale globally.
